Smart Port

Modern ports are complex, high-value environments where security threats, cable faults, and structural events can disrupt operations for hours or days. BiiSensing turns the fiber already buried under wharves, along berths, and inside submarine cable routes into a continuous sensing network — delivering real-time visibility into every zone of the port without adding powered electronics to the field.

Our DAS systems cover perimeter fencing, quay walls, and buried cable corridors simultaneously from a single interrogator. Operators receive precise, located alerts — not alarms that require manual inspection of kilometers of infrastructure.

How it works

A single optical fiber running along the port perimeter, beneath the wharf deck, or inside submarine cable systems acts as thousands of simultaneous sensors. The Eagle DAS interrogator reads the acoustic and vibrational signature of every event, from a vessel mooring too hard to an intruder climbing a fence or a cable under strain, and delivers a geolocated alert in real time, covering up to 50 km from one unit.

What we detect

Perimeter intrusion and fence climbing along port boundaries
Anchor drag and mechanical impact on submarine cables
Vessel mooring and berthing events in real time
Unauthorized access in restricted quayside zones
Ground movement and structural strain on quay walls and piers

Key Benefits

01

Real-Time Monitoring

Continuous coverage of perimeter, infrastructure, and cables from a single interrogator.

02

Precise Event Localization

Geolocate any event to within meters, with no manual patrol required.

03

Infrastructure Protection

Detect anchor drag, impact, and cable stress before they cause failure.

04

Rapid Security Response

Immediate alerts for intrusion events with exact location for faster response.

Why it matters

Port operators face pressure to maintain throughput while managing security across multi-kilometer perimeters and aging underwater infrastructure. A single Eagle DAS unit replaces dozens of point sensors, reducing CAPEX, eliminating blind spots, and giving control room operators a single, accurate picture of everything happening across the port estate.
